How do I get started

New to CrossFit ?


Because CrossFit is nothing like you would have seen before we recommend you take the time to drop in and observe one of the group sessions taking place, so you get a feel for what we are all about. This is also a great opportunity to talk to the Coaches and ask any questions you may have.


Book into our next Fundamentals course.
– This 3 week course is an in-depth intro to CrossFit and the fundamentals movements. It consists of 9 total sessions – Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 6:45pm. Here you will learn safe and efficient techniques with the Squat, Press and Deadlift as well as more advanced skills such as the Olympic lifts (Snatch and Clean & Jerk) and a number of gymnastic skills. Over the 3 weeks you will develop a skill set and conditioning base to allow a smooth and confident transition into the main training group. The course is suitable for ALL levels, from beginner to advanced and everything in between.

To ensure saftey, all new Tenacity members that are also new to Crossfit will be required to complete the Fundamentals Course regardless of your current fitness level.
The aim of the course is to introduce you to the methods and style of training we use at Crossfit Tenacity, we also want every new member to feel comfortable and confident when joining our club and community.
Those new to Tenacity with prior Crossfit experience will be required to complete a 1:1 skill evaluation with one of our coaches to ensure safety and proper mechanics in all of the 9 fundamental movements.

The Fundamentals course runs on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 6:45pm. All sessions are scheduled for 1 hour but may run slightly over from time to time. We ask that that you are on time to every session so that you get as much as you possibly can from the course and the coaches do not have to repeat themselves.
Attendance to all sessions is required – please talk to the staff if you may miss any sessions. A solution will quite easily be sorted.

*FUNDAMENTALS PT PACKAGE – $200 (4 x 1hr 1:1 PT)*
– If the times of the 3 week course don’t suit or you would like to fast-track the fundamentals then the PT package is for you.

    Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ~Greg Glassman
